In June 2021 the Village of Valley Stream released a request for proposals (RFP) for the construction of senior housing on parking field 26 (also referred to as Lot 26) at the northwest corner of W. Valley Stream Blvd and Hicks St. The Village conducted a detailed review of all submissions and collected community input on three submitted video presentations. At the Village Board meeting on 10/17/22 the Village Board selected “The Alder” by BOFSA. The video presentation from that proposal is below.
